• Megaliths are large stone structures

• generally used to mark burial sites

• The practice began in the Indian subcontinent around 1000 BCE.

Type of Megaliths:

• cists - circular structures

• Iron Tools were found in some of the Megalithic sites.
  • Horse Equipment
  • Iron Axe
  • Iron Dagger
• Some Megaliths contain more than one skeletons - signify family burial sites
  • Portholes were probably used for subsequent burials
